Where the Marathon starts, and the lots get bigger
Hopkinton is famous as the starting line of the Boston Marathon, but day to day it is a town of big lots and lots of trees. Woodville is a historic village with 19th-century homes. Hayden Rowe Street still shows its farm past. Legacy Farms in South Hopkinton is a newer planned community, and neighborhoods around Lake Maspenock and Hopkinton State Park sit among woods and water.
That means landscaping in Hopkinton, MA, is often about scale: wide lawns, long driveways, wooded edges and newer homes where the original builder landscaping is now a few years old and needs real care.
